South Rail Steel Company was incorporated in 2004 in accordance with privatization and assignment of rail transportation to the private sector by participation of the I.R Iran Railways. The company's mission is to transport raw materials and products of Khuzestan Steel Company and other steel plants. The company owns 1287 wagons, manages 500 other wagons and is known as one of outstanding rail transportation companies in the steel sector. South Steel Investment and Development Company holds 51% of share capital of South Rail Steel Company.
